2 Lay out two dove shapes so that they are facing each other and mark the position of the eyes. Thread the needle with black thread. Starting on the back of the first dove, sew a few small stitches, then push the needle through to the front and through a black bead. Push the needle to the back again. Make two more stitches through the bead like this and finish with a few small stitches on the back of the dove. Sew the eye on the second dove in the same way.

3 Place the doves facing each other again and lay on the two wing shapes. Pin them in place. Thread the needle with gray thread. Starting with a few small stitches on the back of the first dove, stitch up through the dove, the wing and a button. Stitch on the button and finish with a few small stitches on the back. Do the same for the other dove.
